Lion football juniors Jay Bias and Xavier Morris were injured in a robbery at gunpoint in Miami, Fla. late March 16 during spring vacation.
Both are stable condition at an area hospital according to teammates Pierre Leonard and Kane Wilson, but Morris requires more surgery. Per Pierre Leonard on Twitter, Morris said, “I’m in good shape. Thank y’all so much for the prayers and well wishes. I’ll see y’all soon.”
Leonard also tweeted that Bias is “breathing on his own” after having his breathing tube removed.
