Lion WBB keep things rolling on home-stand, route UTPB 92-58

Commerce, TX- The Texas A&M University-Commerce women’s basketball team defeated UT-Permian Basin 92-58 at home in the fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions improve to 12-6 and 7-3 in the Lone Star Conference. The Falcons fall to 3-15 and 0-10 in conference play.

The Lions will travel to Texas A&M-Kingsville to take on the Javelinas on Thursday night. The game will be played at 5:30 p.m. at the Steinke Center, followed by the Lion men’s basketball game against TAMUK. BOX SCORE LEADERS
– Mykiel Burleson (Pflugerville) led the Lions with 21 points, including 5-8 from three.
– Princess Davis (Shreveport, La) recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists.
– Alexis Bryant (Pflugerville) scored 12 points and recorded 6 rebounds. Kate Zhibareva (Liske, Russia) had 6 points and 9 rebounds.
– The Lions shot a whopping 52 percent from the field in the game and made 48 percent of their three-pointers.
– The Lions never trailed in the game, and once led by 38 in the matchup.
