Comic book fans will rejoice this upcoming weekend at the first ever Hunt County Comic Expo.

The comic expo will be held Nov. 3 and 4 at the A&M-Commerce Rayburn Student Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days.

The idea was first brought up in 2014 for Greenville, Texas, but it was postponed and eventually cancelled. Finally, the comic expo became a reality but had a new name. Hunt County Comic Expo has been years in the making, and the inaugural event is arriving with many special guests, artists, and vendors.

Some of the featured guest include celebrity Marshall R. Teague and cosplayer British Pixie. Teague has appeared in over 130 films and television shows. He is best known for his roles in “Road House,” “Armageddon,” and “Babylon 5.” Teague was also in the hit video game “Crash Nitro Kart” as Krunk. Pixie has cosplayed as Black Widow from the Avengers and also as Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft.

Artists will be displaying their art at the comic expo, and vendors will be present with collectibles and comic books. People will be able to buy anything that interests them. Some of the artists include Kable Sensei and Texas A&M Commerce’s very own Punchthemintheface. Some of the vendors that will be at the comic expo are Dusk Comics and a Galaxy Called Dallas.

Hunt County Comic Expo will be having a group photo to kick off the comic expo. The photo will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will feature anyone that is cosplaying. There will also be an after-party once the expo ends on Saturday night.  The party starts at 8 p.m. at the Rail, and everyone is welcomed. Party goers below the age of 18 can only get in with a parent.

Tickets will be available at the door on both Saturday and Sunday. It is $15 for weekend admission. $10 for one day. A&M Commerce students can get in for $5 for one day with their student ID. $10 for the weekend. Kids that are between 6 years old and 12 years old can also get in for $5 for one day or $10 for the weekend. Children that are 5 years old or younger, first responders with an ID, and military with an ID can enjoy the comic expo for free.
