A&M-Commerce added two locations for hammocks around campus as part of the Student Government Association’s initiative for student mental health.
The Hammock Grove locations are between New Pride Residence Hall and the Morris Recreation Center and by Outdoor Adventure.
At both locations, students can check out one of two types of hammocks. Students can check out a single hammock, which fits one person, or a double, that fits two, for 24 hours.
“The Hammock Grove was initiated by Student Government to help students find a place to relax, destress, and study in a comfortable outdoor environment,” according to the Student Government Association’s web page for the Hammock Grove.
