Soccer Looks to Capture Fourth Season Title

The Lone Star Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll has picked the A&M-Commerce soccer team to finish first for the upcoming 2017 season. Lions Goalkeeper Caitlin Duty was named Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year. The Lions are a year removed from their 15-6-1 season where they also captured the LSC Championship for the third year in a row. The Lions also went to the NCAA Division II Tournament South Central Regional Championship game, where they lost to Colorado Mines 2-1. This season the Lions have 10 starters that will return to the team including three All-Conference players. The Lions open up the 2017 season at home versus Florida Tech on Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
