Construction work being done along the service road that runs parallel to Hwy 24 (on the main campus side of the highway) caused a water mane break when, shortly before 3 p.m., the bucket (or scoop) of an excavator (a heavy construction vehicle) dug too deep and accidentally ruptured it, leaving many buildings on campus without water.

The entrance to Parking Lot 35 (the lot between the Recreation Center, Performing Arts Center, Science Building and Student Center) is and is expected to remain closed throughout the remainder of the evening, as crews work to repair the damages. Anyone needing to access or exit the parking lot will have to use the West Neal/Morris Drive entrance.
