Freshman Athletes Become Leaders in Classroom, On Field

From high school stand-out to incoming freshman in college, the Leadership Academy turns rookies into veterans.
The Leadership Academy at Texas A&M University-Commerce is a program where freshman student athletes learn what it takes to be a leader, not only in the sports arena, but in the classroom as well. A&M-Commerce is the tenth school with the program.
Freshman basketball player Courtney Fields said, “It gives me all the things I need to know in order to be a great leader.”
