Homecoming Week Activities
October 26, 2015
Spirit spread around the campus for Homecoming Week and was not been dampened by the rain.
Activities included volleyball games, soccer, a movie night, football game, king and queen elections, rallies and an alumni basketball game to end homecoming week.
The alumni game featured the women’s basketball team facing alumni from A&M-Commerce.
Head coach Jason Burton scheduled the game in honor of homecoming week and giving former players a reason to come back and celebrate.
“It excited me to know I could play a game on the court one more time and it be played with some old teammates,” former player Symone Brown said.
The alumni basketball game was planned to be the last event of homecoming week so it could usher in the beginning of basketball season.
“Not only will this be fun, the girls will be able to get some practice and we can go over some things we need to work on,” Burton said.
Proceeds from the game will be going towards new basketball equipment.
