COMMERCE POLICE INVESTIGATING KIDNAPPING AND ROBBERY CASE       
COMMERCE — A Commerce resident reported being robbed early Friday morning.

In the early morning hours of Friday, September 19, 2014, the Commerce Police Department received a report from a Commerce resident that said he was robbed. The victim said that while he was walking in the 2400 block of Campbell Street, he was approached by two unidentified black men. One of the men displayed what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.

The victim was walked to an ATM machine on Texas A&M – Commerce Campus where he was made to withdraw cash from the ATM machine. The incident occurred about 3:00 a.m. in the morning.

The Commerce Police Department has leads that they are actively pursuing at this time. This case remains under investigation. Anyone with any information about this crime is encouraged to contact the Commerce Police Department at (903)886-1139. You may remain anonymous.
